ORDER Date : 14-06-2024 Heard Mr. A. Chetry, learned counsel for the applicants. This is an application praying for impleadment of the new incumbent in Contempt Case (Civil) No. 331/2023. It is submitted that the respondent No.1 Dr. Bijoya Chouddhury,IAS and respondent No-3, Sri Manish Thakur, IAS has vacated their offices and in their place new incumbents Sri. Narayan Konwar, IAS has taken over the charge as Secretary to the Government of Assam Secondary Education Department and Sri Jayant Narlikar, IAS has taken over the charge as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department, respectively. It is submitted that they have already been communicated about the order passed by this Court on 30.05.2022 in WP(C) No. 1051/2022 by representation dated

02.05.2024 with the request to comply with the said order; however, the order has not yet been to complied with.

Hence, prays for their impleadment in Contempt Case (Civil) No. 331/2023 as respondent Nos 4 and 5 respectively.

The prayer is allowed. The name and address of the incumbents mentioned in Paragraph-3 (a) and (b) are accordingly impleaded in the Contempt Case (Civil) No. 331/2023 as opposite party Nos 4 and 5 respectively The petitioner shall file amended cause-title in the Contempt Case (Civil) No. 331/2023 by inserting newly impleaded respondent Nos 4 and 5 within a week from today. Page No.# 4/4 The petitioner shall also take steps upon the newly impleaded respondent Nos 4 and 5 within a week from today. The I.A. stands disposed of.
