United India Insurance Company Limited v. Smti. Gauri Das and 5 Ors

ORDER Date : 09-03-2024 Claimant is present along with her counsel in Lok Adalat. Insurance Company is also represented. The matter has been settled between the parties at Rs.9,54,100/- (Nine Lakhs Fifty Four Thousand and One Hundred only) as full and final. An amount of Rs.7,24,100/- (Seven Lakhs Twenty Four Thousand and One Hundred only) has already been deposited by the insurance company before the Registry. The claimant No. 1 is directed to withdraw the same, if not withdrawn after proper verification and duly identification by engaged counsel. The insurance company is directed to deposit the remaining amount i.e. Rs.2,30,000/- (Two Lakhs Thirty Page No.# 3/3 Thousand only) to the claimant No. 1 in her savings account through NEFT. The claimant No.1 is directed to furnish his/her bank details of any nationalized bank to the insurance company for necessary payment. The remaining amount will be deposited by the Insurance Company within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order. Send back the trial court record if any. In view of above, appeal stands disposed of.
