06.11.2023, passed in WP(C)/6361/2023 had required the Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, to dispose of the appeal dated 31.07.2020 filed by the petitioner within the time frame prescribed therein. Mr. Nath, learned counsel has produced a copy of the order dated

08.07.2024, passed by the Joint Commissioner of Police, I/C,-Cum-Appellant Authority, Police Commissioner, Guwahati, disposing the appeal as preferred by the petitioner, in terms of the directions passed by this Court vide the above noted order. In view of the above position, the directions passed by this Court vide order dated 06.11.2023, having been complied with, no further adjudication would be called for in the present contempt petition and accordingly, the same stands closed.
