Heard Mr. L. Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful and deliberate Page No.# 2/2 disobedience of the order dated 14.02.2022 passed by this Court in WP(C)/48/2022, wherein, the said writ petition was disposed of directing the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 therein to consider the promotion of the petitioner from the post of Tracer to that of Sub Engineer Grade-II in light of the recommendation contained in the minutes of the meeting dated 19.07.2019 of the District Level Selection Committee within a period of 4(four) weeks from the date of order.

¶3Today, when the matter is taken up Ms. M. Kalita, learned counsel appearing for all the respondents has produced the minutes of the meeting of the Selection Committee held on 29.06.2022 for consideration of promotion of the petitioner for the post of Sub-Engineer Grade-II from Sectional Assistant/Tracer. The Selection Committee after considering the matter held that the promotion of the petitioner to the post of Sub-Engineer Grade-III could not be considered for promotion on the ground that the post is already abolished on retirement of the incumbent.

¶4Considering the minutes of the Selection Committee, this Court is of the considered opinion that the respondents have complied with the directions passed by this Court. Accordingly, contempt petition is closed, however, giving liberty to the petitioner to assail the said minutes if so advised. The Selection Committee minutes dated 29.06.2022 is placed on record.
