Judgment

ORDER

24.04.2024

¶1Heard Mr. S. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that in terms of the order dated 28.03.2022 passed by this Court in WP(C) No.2172/2022, the petitioner was to submit a copy of the representation dated Page No.# 2/2

07.03.2022 to the Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia on or before 08.04.2022. Thereafter, the Deputy Commissioner was to dispose of the said representation within 45 (forty five) days.

¶2The Deputy Commissioner thereafter submitted letter dated 19.07.2022 directly to the Registry of this Court along with Annexure-C, which shows that the petitioner's representation dated 07.03.2022 has been disposed of. No doubt, the manner and procedure in which the Deputy Commissioner has written a letter to the Registry, with regard to compliance of the order passed in WP(C) No.2172/2022 is not proper. However, the fact remains that the petitioner's representation dated 07.03.2022 has been disposed of by the Deputy Commissioner and as such, no contempt case lies.

¶3The contempt petition is accordingly closed.
