ORDER

11.07.2024 Heard Mr. R. Ali, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B.B. Gogoi, learned APP for the State with whose consent Ms. N. Goswami, learned counsel appears for the informant. Page No.# 2/2

¶2The petitioner, who was arrested on 02.06.2024 in connection with Dispur P.S. Case No.539/2024 under Sections 341/326/307 IPC, has prayed for regular bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C.

¶3Mr. B.B. Gogoi, learned APP has produced the case diary, which amongst other contains medical report of injury to one male, who suffered pain and swelling in left shoulder joint following cut injury in left upper limb. The nature of injury was grievous. The second medical report is of a female, who has suffered the following injuries-1) Cut injury at multiple fingers of both hands with near total amputation of right index finger tip; 2) Left brachial plexus and neck penetrating injuries; 3) Right thigh lacerated injury; 4) Lower abdominal wall lacerated injury; 5) Left hand injury.

¶4Although the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is in custody for about 39 days, this Court is of the considered opinion that with the nature of multiple injuries suffered by the two victims assaulted by him with a sharp weapon, this it is not a fit case to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.

¶5The petitioner is given liberty to move the competent Court for bail if so desired.

¶6The case diary be returned.
