ORDER
28.06.2024 (Suman Shyam, J) Heard Mr. A. Roshid, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant/writ petitioner. We have also heard Ms. A. Verma, learned Standing Counsel, Home Department (F.T.), Govt. of Assam, Mr. A. Ali, learned Standing Counsel, ECI, Ms. S. Baruah, learned Central Govt. Counsel and Mr. H. K. Hazarika, learned Govt. Advocate, Assam appearing for the OPs/respondents. The applicant herein as writ petitioner has approached this Court by filing WP(C) No.7358/2017 assailing the opinion rendered against her by the learned Foreigners Tribunal, Barpeta 10th, Bajali, Pathsala in connection with FT Case No.37/2016. By the order dated 10.05.2024 this Court, while issuing Rule in the writ petition, had granted some interim protection to the writ petitioner subject to her appearance before the Superintendent of Police (Border), Bajali on or before 30.05.2024. Mr. Roshid, learned counsel for the applicant submits that, due to some serious illness suffered by the applicant/writ petitioner, she could not appear before the Superintendent of Police (Border), Bajali by 30.05.2024. As such, this applicant has been filed with a prayer to extend the time for appearance before the Superintendent of Police (Border), Bajali. The learned departmental counsel appearing for the respondents submit that they do not have any instruction to file objection opposing the prayer made in the I.A. Page No.# 3/3 In view of the above and considering the ground cited by the applicant's counsel, we are inclined to allow the prayer made in the I.A. As such, the applicant/writ petitioner is granted time till 08.07.2024 to appear before the Superintendent of Police (Border), Bajali in terms of the order dated 10.05.2024. The order dated 10.05.2024 stands clarified/modified to the above extent. The remaining part of the order dated 10.05.2024 shall remain unaltered. With the above observation, the I.A. stands disposed of.
