J. Phukan, learned standing counsel, Gauhati University, to intimate this Court with regard to the result of the petitioner in the said examination. Today, in a sealed cover, the petitioner's result with regard to the said examination has been placed on record by the learned standing counsel. On consideration of the same, it is seen that in the paper "Derivatives Market & Risk Management", the petitioner had scored 18 marks and it is stated in the Bar that the pass mark is 24 and accordingly, it has to be held that the petitioner has failed to pass in the said examination. In that view of the matter, the petitioner having overstepped the maximum permissible time available to her to complete her MBA course which she had got herself admitted in the year 2014, there is nothing further to be decided in this writ petition and the petitioner cannot be now permitted to take the said course or examination in violation of the regulations available in this connection of the Gauhati University. Accordingly, in view of the above position, this writ petition is without merit and the same, therefore, stands dismissed. The instructions as furnished by Mr. Phukan, learned standing counsel, Gauhati University, including the noting of the marks scored by the petitioner in the examination, in question, is not retained and hereby returned to him.
