Heard Ms. B. Khaklari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B. Sarma, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam.

¶2This is an application under Section 438 of the CrPC praying for grant of pre-arrest bail Page No.# 2/2 in respect of Dispur P.S. Case No.1905/2023, under Section 498A/325 of the Indian Penal Code (corresponding to G.R. Case No.7298/2023).

¶3The wife of the petitioner has brought some allegations against him under the aforesaid section of law.

¶4Pursuant to the interim order granted by this Court, the petitioner has appeared before the Investigating Officer and has co-operated with the police investigation.

¶5For the aforesaid reason, the petitioner does not deserve to be detained in custody. His pre-arrest bail application is allowed.

¶6The interim bail granted in respect of the petitioner Diganta Singha on 21.06.2024 is made absolute. The application for bail is disposed of. Case diary shall be returned.
