14.09.2024 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 04.03.2021 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Bongaigaon (for short MACT, Bongaigaon) in MAC Case No. 29/2018 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs.12,26,520/-. Shri A Munin Chowdhury, Regional Manager, United India Insurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimant-Rimpi Patgiri @ Rimpi Patgiri Das along with her counsel, Shri Khan are present today i.e., 14.09.2024 in the National Lok Adalat. It has been informed to this Court the aforesaid awarded amount, including interest has already been paid by the Insurance Company. The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and an additional amount Rs.2,50,000/- as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the additional amount of Rs.2,50,000/- being the full and final settlement before MACT, Bongaigaon within a period of 45 days from today. The claimant would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount on being properly identified by her learned counsel. Send back the LCRs. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
