ORDER Date : 15-03-2024 Heard Ms. P. Hujuri, learned counsel for the applicant. I have also heard Mr. M. Talukdar, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1 and 2. This is an application filed by the applicant praying for stay of the operation of the impugned judgment and award dated 27.02.2023, passed by the learned Member, MACT Nagaon, in MAC Case No. 27/2017. It is submitted that vide an order dated 30.06.2023, passed in the connected MAC Case No. 258/2023, while admitting the appeal, it was also directed to the appellant/claimant to deposit 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court and in compliance of the said direction the applicant/appellant has already deposited the 50% of the total awarded amount i.e Rs.6,90,500/- before the Registry of this Court on 04.08.2023. Since the connected appeal has already been admitted, the operation of the impugned judgment and award dated 27.02.2023, passed by the learned Member MACT, Nagaon in MAC Case No. 27/2017 shall remain stayed till disposal of the appeal.
