Rafij Uddin @ Rahij Uddin v. The State of Assam and Anr

ORDER Date : 18 . 07. 2024 Heard Mr. MH Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Addl. PP for the State respondent. It is submitted by Mr. Borthakur, learned Addl. PP for the State respondent that charge sheet has already been submitted against the petitioner by the police vide C.S. 16/2024, 30.05.2024. In this context, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has been in custody for last 88 days. Hence, considering the length of detention, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. As the charge sheet has already been filed, the petitioner is directed to appear before the learned trial Court with an appropriate application, seeking regular bail and in the event of filing such bail application, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. With the above observation, the bail application stands disposed of.
