ORDER
05.01.2024 Heard Ms. N. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Shri RKD Choudhury, learned counsel for the respondent no. 1 and Shri A. Kalita, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3. The contempt petition is with regard to an order dated 16.08.2022 passed in WP(C)/ 8249/2017. Shri Kalita, learned counsel has however placed on record a Speaking Order dated 15.12.2023 which has been passed on the representation of the petitioner. Though there is a delay in compliance of the order in question, this Court is of the opinion that there is substantially compliance and therefore does not appear any willful and disobedience. Accordingly, this Court is of the view that there is no requirement to keep pending this contempt petition any further and the same is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the correctness / legality of the Speaking Order dated 15.12.2023, if so advised. A copy of the Speaking Order dated 15.12.2023 is made a part of the Page No.# 3/3 records. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
