Page No.# 2/2 By filing this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C., the accused-petitioners, namely,

¶1Prakash Tamang and 2. Phulmati Tamang have prayed for grant of bail in connection with Namtola P.S. Case No.31/2022 under Section 21 (c)/29 of NDPS Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioners are behind the bar for 2 years 3 months and 26 days since their arrest on

21.04.2022 and as such, considering length of detention, their prayer for bail may be granted. Learned Addl.P.P. for the State respondent submits that the trial in connection with the above case is about to complete. Witnesses have already been examined and the case is at the stage of argument and as such, at this stage, prayer for bail may be rejected. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and perusal of the case records, it appears that the case is at the fag end of the trial and as such, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage. The bail application is rejected. The bail application stands disposed of.
