Judgment
ORDER Date : 13.08.2024
Heard Mr. P.Borah, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R.J. Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. By filing this application filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraskha Sanhita, 2023, the accused petitioner namely, Ajoy Urang, has Page No.# 2/2 prayed for bail in connection with Guwahati GRPS Case No. 135/2024 ( GR No. 3449/2024) under Sections 120(B)/419/420/467/468/471 of the IPC r/w Section 66(C)/66(D) I.T. Act. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been detained in judicial custody for the last 45 days since his arrest on
29.06.2024. Nothing was recovered from his possession. Co-accused was granted bail by this court in Bail Application No. 2142/2024 and as such, in the same footing, the present petitioner may be enlarged on bail. Learned Addl.P.P. has produced the case diary and submits that investigation is still going on. From the case diary, it appears that the petitioner is an employee of Jio Service and he had supplied SIM Cards to one Dilwar Hussain and who subsequently gave 595 SIM cards to one Abu Naser and one Abul Kalam and as such, learned Addl.P.P. has opposed in granting bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the bail application is rejected at this stage. The bail application stands disposed of. Return the case diary. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
