Debasish Buragohain and Anr v. The State of Assam

ORDER Date : 11.09.2024 1) Heard Mr. U. K. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. R. J. Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam who has produced the Case Diary of Teok P.S. Case No.68/2024. Page No.# 2/2 2) The learned counsel for the petitioners have submitted that the petitioners was granted interim bail by this Court by order dated 29.07.2024 and in pursuant to the direction of this Court, both the petitioners, namely, Debasish Buragohain and Ankur Chetia have appeared before the Investigating Officer and have co-operated in the investigation. 3) On the other hand, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has produced the Case Diary of Teok P.S. Case No.68/2024 and have submitted that the petitioners have appeared before the Investigating Officer and their statement have already been recorded under Section 180 of the BNS. 4) Considering the fact that the petitioners have complied with the direction and co-operated in the investigation, the interim bail granted to them by an order dated 29.07.2024 is hereby made absolute with condition Nos.2, 3 and 4 of the said order attached to the said order remaining intact. 5) With above observation, this anticipatory bail stands disposed of.
