Mr. MJ Quadir, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that taking into account that the flood situation is presently improving, he would not like to press the instant writ petition. He further submits that the petitioners would be issuing the notice in terms with the provisions of Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 2007 by tomorrow i.e. 25.07.2024. However, he submits that in the eventuality the holding of the meeting on 10.08.2024 becomes impossible, the petitioners may be given the liberty to approach this Court again.

¶2This Court taking into account the said submission closes the instant writ petition on withdrawal.

¶3It is further observed that in the circumstance the holding of the meeting is beyond the control of the petitioners, the petitioners would be at liberty to again approach this Court. Page No.# 3/3

¶4Before parting with the records, this Court also observes that taking into account that the petitioners have duly informed the officers of the Cooperation Department pursuant to a resolution being passed about the holding of the meeting on 10.08.2024, the Cooperation Department shall provide the necessary aid to the petitioners so that the meeting can be held on 10.08.2024.

¶5Mr. SK Talukdar, the learned counsel appears on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3.
