02.08.2024 Mr. H.R. Ahmed, learned counsel for the applicant prays that Mr. Gyanendra Dev Tripathi, IAS, the Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Revenue (R&R) & Disaster Page No.# 2/2 Management Department, Dispur, Ghy-6 may be impleaded as respondent No.1, in place of the earlier respondent No.1, who has been transferred out. He submits that he is not pressing for the impleadment of Mr. Navdeep Pathak as respondent No.4, as the Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon was not a party respondent in the writ petition.

¶2Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned counsel appears for the respondent No.1, Ms. N.N. Sarma, learned counsel appears for the respondent No.3, while Mr. H.R. Hazarika, learned counsel appears for the respondent No. 2. They submit that they have got no objection to the prayer of the applicant being allowed.

¶3Accordingly, Mr. Gyanendra Dev Tripathi, IAS, the Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Revenue (R&R) & Disaster Management Department, Dispur, Ghy-6 is allowed to be impleaded and to substitute the respondent No.1.

¶4The applicant shall submit the amended cause title to the Registry.

¶5At this stage, Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned counsel submits that the respondent Nos. 2 & 3 are also not holding their posts any longer, as they have been transferred out.

¶6The applicant's counsel submits that necessary application will be made for impleadment of the present incumbents.

¶7The application is accordingly allowed and disposed of.
