28.02.2024 Heard Mr. P Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. TR Gogoi, learned standing counsel for the Assam State Housing Board. By filing this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has assailed an order of transfer dated 15.09.2021 by which the petitioner has been transferred and posted as Zonal Housing Officer at Silchar. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as Estate Officer by an order dated

02.07.2021 and according to him Estate Officer is an ex-cadre post and such post of Ex-cadre is a state level post and therefore the petitioner could not have been transferred to the Zonal Office. An affidavit has also been filed and such position has been admitted. It is further submitted by Mr. Gogoi that in view of such, the impugned transfer order issued has already been withdrawn. In view of that, nothing survives to be adjudicated in this matter. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed.
