Ms. M Barman, the learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam pursuant to the directions issued by this Court on 09.08.2024 has placed before this Court, the order dated 17.08.2024, whereby the Additional District Commissioner, Barpeta had concluded that the name of the petitioner and others should also be entered in the NOK certificate along with the applicant and others and thereby cancelled the earlier NOK certificate.

¶2The said communication is kept on record and marked with the letter 'X'.

¶3Mr. M Ahmed, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that in view of the order passed on 17.08.2024, he would not like to press the instant contempt petition.

¶4Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed on withdrawal.
