29.08.2024 Heard the learned counsel Md. S. Hoque appearing for the petitioners. I have also heard Mr. B. Sarma, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam.

¶2This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for pre-arrest bail in respect of Bhangagarh P.S. Case No.87/2024, registered under Sections 363 of the Indian Penal Code r/w Section 370/370A/365/366/372/120B of the said Code.

¶3On 29.06.2024, two persons jointly filed an FIR before police alleging that their daughters, both were 18 years old, were missing from their respective houses.

¶4The case diary reveals that the girls were taken to the State of Bihar where they were sold and compelled to participate in the flesh trade. Thereafter, they were also sold in Siliguri.

¶5The present petitioners who are women had assisted their husbands to commit the aforesaid offence. Therefore, their custodial interrogation is necessary in this case.
