Heard Ms. A.Parashar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. R.Dhar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B.B.Gogoi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Page No.# 2/2 By filing this petition under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner, namely, Ganglab Brahma has prayed for granting pre-arrest bail, apprehending arrest in connection with Bongaigaion PS Case No. 258/2024 under Section 20 (b) (ii) (B)/29 of the NDPS Act r/w Section 4 of Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act. The Case diary, as called for, is placed before the Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence. His name is also not mentioned in the FIR and as such, the benefit of pre-arrest bail may be extended to the petitioner. Learned Addl.P.P. has produced the case diary and submits that case diary does not reflect involvement of the petitioner in this case. In view of above, the matter be dropped and disposed of. Return the case diary.
