Niranjan Hojai v. The State of Assam and 5 Ors

ORDER

09.08.2024 This is an application filed by the applicant to implead the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council as the respondent No.6 in the accompanying writ petition being WP(C)No.3841/2024.

¶2The reason why the instant application has been filed is that the impugned order was passed by the Principal Secretary NC Hills Autonomous Council Haflong at the directions of the CEM.

¶3Taking into account the above, this Court is of the opinion that the Chief Executive Member is a necessary party for the purpose of the adjudication of the accompanying writ petition. Accordingly, this Court allows the instant Page No.# 4/4 application thereby arraying the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council as respondent No.6 in the accompanying writ petition.

¶4The petitioner is directed to file a fresh memo of parties before the Registry of this Court by 12.08.2024 and the Registry on the basis of instant order shall make the necessary correction in the records of the writ petition as well as update the same in the CIS.
