Rituparna Pathak v. The State of Assam

ORDER Date : 25.09.2024 Heard Mr. F. Khan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. K. Baishya, learned Additional P.P. for the state of Assam.

¶2This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, praying for releasing the petitioner on bail, who was arrested in connection with Barpeta P. S. Case No. 239/2024.

¶3Today is the 90th day of detention of the petitioner in custody. No charge-sheet has been filed.

¶4Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to default bail. Page No.# 2/2

¶5Considering the aforesaid facts, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed.

¶6Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioner, Rituparna Pathak, who was arrested in connection with Barpeta P. S. Case No. 239/2024 shall be allowed to go on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barpeta.
