Chaddam Hussain v. The State of Assam

None appears for the petitioner on call. Heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.

¶2It is submitted by Mr. D.P.Goswami, learned Addl. P.P., Assam that charge-sheet has been submitted in the case vide C.S. No. 549/24, dated 30.09.2024 in Page No.# 2/2 connection with Basistha P.S. Case No. 589/2024 registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS, read with Section 11(1) (d) Prevention of Cruelty of Animal Act, 1960 and read with Section 13(1)/16 of the Assam Cattle preservation (Amendment) Act, 2021.

¶3In view of the above, the anticipatory bail application stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the learned Court below within 10 (ten) days and seek regular bail, if so advised. If such bail application is filed, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

¶4The interim order dated 30.08.2024 will continue till the aforesaid period of 10 (ten) days.

¶5This disposes of the anticipatory bail application.
