Rohimuddin Sheikh v. The State of Assam and Anr

¶1Mr. A. K. Azad, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 26.11.2024 the petitioner has already deposited Rs.2,50,000/- in the Registry of this Court. I have also heard Ms. S. Das, learned counsel for the opposite party/respondents. The opposite party shall be allowed to withdraw the aforesaid Rs.2,50,000/- from the Registry of this Court.

¶2The petitioner was directed by the Trial Court to pay Rs.2,50,000/- to the respondents. Since the said amount has already been deposited by the petitioner, this revision petition has become infructuous.

¶3The Judgment Dated 06.07.2022 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (F.T.C), North Salmara, Abhayapuri in Criminal Appeal No.1(2)/2019 upholding the Judgment dated 01.03.2019 passed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate(M), North Salmara, Abhayapuri in C.R. NI Case No.21/2016 are set aside.

¶4The present Criminal Revision Petitioner stands disposed of accordingly.
