¶2The petitioner in this writ petition is aggrieved with the order dated

17.08.2024, issued by the Director of Elementary Education, Assam by which the petitioner has been placed under suspension with immediate effect as per the provisions of Rule 6 (i) of the Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964. The further case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has also filed an appeal before the Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Department of Elementary Education on 21.08.2024. However, the same is yet to be disposed of till date.

¶3Considering that the petitioner has already filed an appeal before the Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Department of Elementary Education/respondent No.1, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.1 to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible but not later than 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order of this Court.

¶4With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
