ORDER
01.10.2024
Heard Mr. M K Neog, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. R J Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. This is an application filed under section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of bail to the petitioners, namely, Ritushmoni Borah @ Bhon Borah and Sri Ratul Borah @ Pitoukali, who are facing trial in Sessions Case No. 84 (NL)/2024 pending in the court of the learned Sessions Judge, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. Today, I have gone through the scanned copy of the LCR. I have also gone through the evidence of some of the witnesses examined by the prosecution. This court is of the opinion that, at this stage, both the petitioners do not deserve to be released on bail. Therefore, the bail prayer of the petitioner is rejected. Accordingly, the present bail application is dismissed and disposed of.
