Mr. A. Dasgupta, learned Sr. counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that he has instructions from his client to withdraw this writ petition. The learned Sr. counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that an order be also passed by this Court for settling Page No.# 2/2 the pensionary dues of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, on the ground that despite having retired from service on 01-09-2020, pension and other retirement benefits of the petitioner have not been released till today. Mr. P. Nayak, learned standing counsel, GMC submits that the delay in settling the pension is on account of pendency of this proceeding. However, now after withdrawal of the writ petition, the matter will be processed expeditiously. In view of the above and on the request of the learned Sr. counsel for the writ petitioner, this writ petition stands disposed of on withdrawal. The authorities may do the needful to settle the retirement dues of the writ petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 03 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
