Sarumai Dutta and Anr v. The State of Assam

Heard Mr. A. Khanikar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as Mr. D. P. Page No.# 2/2 Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the state of Assam.

¶2This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre-arrest bail in respect of Dhakuakhana P.S. Case No. 73/2024.

¶3Mr. Goswami has submitted that pursuant to the interim order passed by this Court, both the petitioners have appeared before the Investigating Officer and have co-operated with the investigation.

¶4I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides.

¶5Since the petitioners are co-operating with the Investigating Officer, their bail application is allowed.

¶6Therefore, the interim bail granted in favour of the petitioners on 16.09.2024 is hereby made absolute.

¶7With the aforesaid direction, this bail application stands disposed of.

¶8The CD shall be returned.
