22/10/2024 Heard Mr. L Gogoi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. S Bora Hazarika, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent. This application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner, namely, Sri Samiran Mondal, son of Sri Khagen Mondal, seeking bail in connection with Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 240/2024 registered under Section 363 and 366 of the IPC, read with Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012, wherein he was arrested on 24.08.2024 and is in custody since then. During the deliberation of the matter, Ms. S Bora Hazarika, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, on instructions submitted that police after investigation of said Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 240/2024 has already submitted the charge-sheet on 28.09.2024 vide Charge-Sheet No. 313/2024. In view of the above, the petitioner may approach the appropriate forum for his regular bail in said Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 240/2024. With the above observation and direction, this bail application stands disposed of.
