¶1The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the Respondent Authorities to accept the revenues of the land measuring 8 Bighas 2 Kathas 3 Lechas covered by Dag No.172 (new) 243 (old), Patta No.9 (new) 10

(old) Mouza Kachmari under Nagaon Sadar, Revenue Circle in the District of Nagaon, Assam.

¶2It reveals from a perusal of the materials on record that on the basis of an order passed vide No. AK No.42/71-72 and the DC's office Memo No.14447-48 dated 11.07.1972, the land measuring 8 Bighas 2 Kathas 3 Lechas pertaining to Dag No.283 was made Government Khas land. It is under such circumstances, this Court taking into account that the writ petition was filed in the year 2018, directed the writ petitioner to produce any document to show till when the Petitioner has paid the revenue. Accordingly, various opportunities were given to the Petitioner but the Petitioner has not been able to produce such documents. This conduct on the part of the Petitioner not only shows that the Petitioner is not interested in the present proceedings but also the filing of the instant writ petition grossly suffers from laches.

¶3Accordingly, this Court finds no reason for issuance of a writ in the instant proceedings for which the instant writ petition stands dismissed.
