¶1Heard Mr. S. Nawaz, learned counsel for the applicants. Also heard Mr. B. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State of Page No.# 3/4 Assam.

¶2This Interlocutory Application has been filed by the applicants, namely,

¶1Salim Akthar Chowdhury@ Selim Uddin and 2. Mehboob Ahmed Barbhuyan @ Mehboob Alom praying for modification of order dated 17.09.2024 passed by this Court in A.B. No. 2430/2024.

¶3The learned counsel for the applicants has submitted that due to inadvertence the father's name and address of the applicant No. 2, namely, 2. Mehboob Ahmed Barbhuyan @ Mehboob Alom has been wrongly shown in the cause-title of anticipatory bail application No. 2430/2024.

¶4The learned counsel for the applicants has submitted that the correct address and the father's name of the applicant No. 2 is actually Alim Uddin Barbhuyan and he is a resident of Doboka Town, Ward No. 10, Police Station Doboka, District Hojai, Assam.

¶5The learned counsel for the applicants has also submitted that by order dated 17.09.2024, the applicants were directed to appear before the Investigating Officer within 10(ten) days from the date of the said order. However, as the father's name of the applicant No. 2 and his address has been wrongly mentioned in the cause-title of the bail application, unless same is rectified, the applicant is unable to appear before the Investigating Officer.

¶6I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel and have perused the materials available on record.

¶7It appears from the submissions made by the learned counsel for the applicant that the name of the father of the applicant No. 2 as well as his address has been wrongly mentioned in the cause-title of A.B. Case No. 2430/2024 due to inadvertence.

¶8Same is required to be rectified. Page No.# 4/4

¶9The prayer for rectification is allowed.

¶10The applicant is directed to submit a rectified cause-title before the Registry in A.B. Case No. 2430/2024.

¶11This Interlocutory Application is accordingly disposed of.
