¶1Heard Mr. H.A. Laskar, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr. P.K. Bora, learned standing counsel, Elementary Education Department, for all the respondents.

¶2The petitioner is presently serving as Assistant Teacher of Bokrihowar MV School under Hailakandi Education Block in the district of Hailakandi. The petitioner was placed under suspension by an order dated 21.06.2022 issued by the District Elementary Education Officer, Hailakandi. Thereafter, by an order dated 21.02.2023 issued by the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, the petitioner was reinstated as Assistant Teacher in his original place of posting with immediate effect.

¶3The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that his period of suspension, from 21.06.2022 to 21.02.2023, has not been regularized till date.

¶4Today, when the matter is taken up, Mr. P.K. Bora, learned standing counsel, Elementary Education Department, has produced an order dated

21.06.2024, issued by the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, whereby the service of the petitioner has been regularized w.e.f. 21.06.2022 to

21.02.2023 by withholding of one annual increment with cumulative effect.

¶5Learned counsel for the petitioner, therefore, submits that as the Page No.# 3/3 suspension period of the petitioner has been regularized by the order dated

21.06.2024, the matter may be closed.

¶6Accordingly, in view of the order dated 21.06.2024, this writ petition is closed.

¶7The order dated 21.06.2024 is placed on record.
