22/10/2024 Heard Mr. U U Khan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. P Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent. The petitioners, namely, (1) Nur Almina Khatun and (2) Asmot Ali, have filed this application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking pre-arrest bail apprehending their arrest in Abhayapuri P.S. Case No. 211/2024 registered under Sections 303(2)/112 of BNS, read with Section 59(II) of Food Safety and Standards Act. On instruction of the petitioner, Mr. Khan, learned counsel is not pressing this pre-arrest bail application to which Mr. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam has no objection. Accordingly, this pre-arrest bail application, being not pressed, stands dismissed.
