14.06.2024 Heard Mr. S.I. Akand, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. P.R. Mahanta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Ms. S. Baruah, learned Government Advocate. It is submitted by Ms. S. Baruah learned Government Advocate for the respondents No. 3, 4 & 5 on instructions that the Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat has completed an enquiry and submitted a proposal in favour of the writ petitioner for release of ex-gratia as per the scheme. It is submitted that the matter is pending before the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed with a direction to the Commissioner & Secretary to pass appropriate orders within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The department will pass necessary order on the proposal stated to have been forwarded by the Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
