ORDER Date : 24-06-2024 Heard Mr. M.P. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner. The present writ petition was filed by the writ petitioner to assail the transfer order dated 06.03.2019 by which he was transferred from Golaghat to Dhubri and the Court, while issuing notice of motion by order dated 02.09.2019, had stayed the said transfer order with a direction that the same shall not be given effect to. Mr. T.C. Chutia, learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that normal tenure posting of a govt. servant is 3 (three) years in a particular area and as per instructions received by him the petitioner has been serving at Golaghat in the Office of the District Fisheries Development Officer as a Fishery Demonstrator has been serving at the same place for about 32 years. Be that as it may, as the normal 3(three) years tenure posting of the petitioner is already over and it is stated by the learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate that the petitioner is continuously serving at the same place of posting for about 32 years, the Court is of the considered opinion that with efflux of time and on the expiry of his normal tenure posting of 3 (three) years, this writ petition has been rendered infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed on having been rendered infructuous. Page No.# 3/3 The interim order passed on 02.09.2019 stands vacated.
