Heard Mr. BD Konwar, the learned senior counsel, assisted by Mr. P Doley, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant. Mr. D Nath, the learned Senior Government Advocate, Assam appears on behalf of the State respondents.

¶2This is an application for amendment/correction/rectification of the cause-title of the accompanying writ petition being WP(C)No.4837/2024 wherein in place of the respondent No.1 i.e. the State of Assam, represented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of Assam Dispur, it ought to have been 'the State of Assam represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Home & Political Department, Government of Assam, Dispur'.

¶3The applicant further prays for correction of the vehicle registration number appearing in the synopsis, paragraph Nos.1, 4, 6 and in the prayer of the accompanying writ petition being WP(C)4837/2024, wherein inadvertently, it has been mentioned as AS-10/H-1110 as well as AS10H001 in place of AS-10H0001.

¶4Taking into account the prayer made in the instant application, which is not being objected to by the learned Senior Government Advocate, Assam, the corrections sought for as stated hereinabove are allowed.

¶5Interlocutory application accordingly stands disposed of. Page No.# 3/3

¶6Registry is directed to make the necessary corrections in the cause-title of the accompanying writ petition and update the same in the CIS.
