25.11.2024 Heard Mr. R. Mazumdar, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard A. K. Dutta, learned Central Govt. Counsel appearing for the OPs. This I.A. has been filed by the applicant/writ petitioner inter-alia contending that even after the marriage of the applicant with his estranged wife was dissolved by a decree of divorce, the maintenance component is being deducted from his salary. Page No.# 3/3 On 29.10.2024 when the matter was called up before this Court, the following order was passed :- "None appears for the applicant even on second call. Mr. A. K. Dutta, learned Central Govt. Counsel appearing for the respondents has obtained instructions in terms of the order dated

03.10.2024 passed by this Court and submits that the deduction from the salary of the applicant/writ petitioner was made upto the month of June, 2024 and thereafter such deduction has been discontinued. Since the applicant's counsel is absent today, this Court is not in a position to proceed further in the matter. Registry to therefore, list the matter again after a week so as to enable the applicant's counsel to appear with instructions."

Today, Mr. Mazumdar submits that since the deduction of maintenance component from the salary of the petitioner has been stopped, this I.A. may be closed. Taking note of the submission of Mr. Mazumdar, this I.A is hereby closed.
