¶3The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner No. 1 is the driver of the vehicle bearing Regd. No. AS-01-EQ-7146 from which 130 kg of suspected beef was recovered. ¶5I have considered the submissions made by the parties. I have also perused the averments made in the petition.

¶6It appears that the petitioners are the driver and labour of the said vehicle from which suspected 130 kg of beef was recovered. Considering the fact as well as the length of detention of the petitioners, this Court is of the view that further custodial interrogation of the accused-petitioners is not necessary for the purpose of investigation of the case.

¶7Accordingly, the accused-petitioners, named above, shall be released on bail in connection with Gossaigaon P.S. Case No. 152/2024 under Section 325/3(5) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 13(1) of Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- each with a suitable surety each of the like amount to the satisfaction of learned SDJM(M), Gossaigaon, Assam.

¶8The direction for bail is further subject to the conditions that the accused-petitioners:

(c) shall not commit such offence as alleged in the FIR in Page No.# 4/4 future.

¶9Violation or breach of any condition(s) shall render cancellation of bail.

¶10In terms of the above, this bail application stands disposed of.
