Mr. A. Phukan, learned standing counsel for the Elementary Education Department in terms of the directions passed by this Court on 19.01.2024, has furnished a copy of the communication dated 24.01.2024, issued by the Additional District Commissioner (Edn), Hailakandi and District Elementary Education Officer, Hailakandi, to the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara, wherein it has been stated that the case of the petitioner was again placed before the District Scrutiny Committee and the said Committee in its meeting held on 19.09.2023 has recommended the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds as Assistant Teacher in provincialized L.P. Schools under Hailakandi District. Vide the said communication, the copy of the minutes of the said meeting of the District Level Committee was placed before the Director of Elementary Education, Assam for further necessary action. In view of the said development, this writ petition stands disposed of requiring the Director of Elementary Education, Assam to place the proposal of the petitioner made by the District Level Committee in its meeting held on

19.09.2023, in favor of the petitioner before the State Level Committee for its consideration. Page No.# 3/3 The further course of action in the matter shall be so done in terms of the recommendation that may be made by the State Level Committee. The recommendation so made by the District Level Committee in favor of the petitioner be placed in the next sitting of the State Level Committee. In the event, the petitioner is aggrieved by the decision that may be arrived at in the matter on consideration of his case, by the State Level Committee, he is at liberty to institute appropriate proceedings assailing the same. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. A copy of the communication dated 24.01.2024, along with the enclosures, produced by Mr. A.
