31.08.2024 Heard Mr. H. Talukdar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. R. Deka, learned counsel for the respondents, who has invited the attention of this Court to the order dated 25.01.2024 passed by the Principal Secretary, N. C. Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong to submit that the prayer of the petitioner has been considered in terms of the order dated 22.03.2023 passed by this Court in Page No.# 2/2 WP(C) No.1619/2022 and the same has been rejected. Therefore, the order of this Court has been complied with. Mr. Talukdar submits that his client is not satisfied with the order dated

25.01.2024. If that be so, the remedy would lie in assailing the order dated

25.01.2024 but not in pursuing the Contempt Case. In view of the above, by granting liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate legal remedy, as may be permissible under the law, this Contempt Case stands closed.
