Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd v. Dhanada Das and 2 Ors

ORDER

The case is put up before the National Lok Adalat.

The Insurance Company is represented by its officials.

The claimant is duly present along with engaged counsel.

It is submitted that the earlier awarded amount was Rs. 8,42,700/- (Rupees eight lakhs forty two thousand seven hundred) only and after negotiation, both the parties are agreed to settle the matter on an amount of Rs. 7,50,000/- (Rupees seven lakhs fifty thousand) only as full and final settlement.

Accordingly, the appellant/Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. is hereby Page No.# 4/4 directed to deposit an amount of Rs. 7,50,000/- (Rupees seven lakhs fifty thousand) only before the Registry of this Court within a period of 1 (one) month from today and the claimant will be at liberty to withdraw the same on being proper verification and identification.

Registry to return the statutory deposited amount, if any, to the Insurance Company.

The application stands disposed of in terms above.
