ORDER Date : 26-07-2024 Heard Mr. R Ali learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K Gogoi learned State counsel, Assam. According to the petitioner a demarcation proceeding being Demarcation Case No.80/2022 in connection with a plot of land covered by Dag No.697 of Patta No.337 situated at village Sohor Notboma under Dispur Revenue Circle is pending since long and such demarcation proceeding has not yet been completed. Mr. K Gogoi learned state counsel representing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 on instructions submits that this writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the Circle Officer, Dispur Revenue Circle to dispose of the demarcation case No. 80/2022 in accordance with law. The learned counsel for the petitioner also supports such contention. In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent No.3 to determine the demarcation case No. 80/2022 as aforesaid within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order to be furnished by the petitioner. It is needless to say that such decision be made on its own merit without being influenced by any of the observations made in this case, inasmuch as if any third party right is involved in respect of the said land, such party may also be heard.
