ORDER
12.12.2024 Heard Mr. S. Dutta, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam appearing for the State. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioner Jubel Ahmed prays for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection Page No.# 2/2 with Karimganj P.S. Case No.114 of 2023. The petitioner has been charge-sheeted in the case under Sections 22(c)/25 and 29 of the NDPS Act. He was shown as absconder in the charge-sheet. After much effort his presence could be procured. Now the trial Court is yet to frame charges. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for both the sides. This Court is of the opinion that this is not a fit case for allowing the bail prayer of the petitioner. Let the trial Court examine some witnesses. The petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this Court again after examination of some witnesses. With the aforesaid observation, the Bail Application stands disposed of.
