¶2This interlocutory application, under Order XLI, Rule 5 of the CPC, is preferred by the applicant for staying the judgment and award dated

30.07.2024, passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M), in MAC Case No. 1220/2019.

¶3It is to be noted here that vide impugned judgment and award dated

30.07.2024, the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 2, Kamrup(M) has directed the applicant herein to pay a sum of Rs. 52,08,2016.97/-, being the compensation to the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3, Page No.# 3/3 and further provided that the amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum from the date of filing of the claim petition.

¶4It appears that the connected appeal has been admitted and the record has already been called for.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances on the record, this interlocutory application stands allowed subject to payment of 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court within a period of three weeks from today.

¶6In terms of above, this I.A. stands disposed of.
