Heard Mr. A.M. Barbhuiya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. N. Upadhyay, learned counsel for the Irrigation Department. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have not paid the petitioner Rs.19,42,664/- for contract works done by the petitioner. Mr. N. Upadhyay, learned counsel for the Irrigation Department submits that he has filed affidavit-in-opposition today on behalf of the respondent No.3, wherein it is admitted by the respondents that out of the total bill amount of Rs.34,96,445/-, an amount of Rs.15,53,683/- has already been paid to the petitioner. The remaining Page No.# 3/3 amount of Rs. 19,42,664/- shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of 6(six) months from today. In view of the consent of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to pay to the petitioner the balance amount of Rs.19,42,664/-, within a period of 6(six) months from today. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
