28/11/2024 Heard Mr. S Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent. This application under Section 483(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner, namely, Jaynal Abedin, seeking bail in Dhubri P.S. Case No. 240/2024 registered under Sections 140(3)/189(3) of the BNS, 2023 corresponding to G.R. No. 792/2024, wherein he was arrested on 15.09.2024 and is in custody since then. During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, on instructions submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted charge-sheet in the said Dhubri P.S. Case No. 240/2024 vide Charge-Sheet No. 404/2024 dated 25.11.2024. In view of the above, the petitioner may approach the appropriate forum for his regular bail in said Dhubri P.S. Case No. 240/2024. With the above observation and direction, this bail application stands disposed of.
