Heard Mr. R.C. Paul, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant as well as Mr. R. Goswami, learned counsel representing the Respondent No.1/claimant. Since the connected appeal has been admitted for hearing, the judgment and award dated 18.07.2023 passed by the MACT No.1, Kamrup (M) at Guwahati in MAC Case No.2154/2015 shall remain stayed till disposal of the appeal subject to deposit 50% of the awarded amount in the Registry of this Court within next 6(six) weeks. The Respondent No.1/claimant is at liberty to withdraw the said awarded amount from the Registry of this Court on furnishing indemnity bond on equal value.
