Heard Mr. U. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. Nath, learned Senior Govt. Advocate for the respondent Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Mr. R. K. D. Choudhury, learned DSGI, for the respondent No.2.

¶2At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner No.2 is not interested in pursuing the matter and accordingly, her name may be deleted from the list of the petitioners.

¶3Accordingly, let the name of the petitioner No.2 be deleted from array of petitioners.

¶4The petitioners are working in various posts namely, Protection Officer, Assistant-cum-DEO, Counselor and Data Analyst in various district of Assam under the State Child Protection Society, Assam. The services of the petitioners Page No.# 4/4 are contractual in nature. For implementation of a Central Scheme, namely, Mission Vatsalya, an Advertisement was issued for filling up of various posts, wherein, the age limit was also prescribed. The petitioners are before this Court praying for relaxation of the age limit inasmuch as they have become over age in terms of the Advertisement.

¶5Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Senior Govt. Advocate on written instructions submits that the upper age limit for all the departmental candidates has been relaxed and therefore submits that the matter has become infructuous.

¶6Recording the submissions made by the learned Senior Govt. Advocate, this writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous.
